If those days had not been shortened no human being
would be saved Jesus Christ talked about the time of the end and said: 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 Then if any one says to you, "Lo, here is the Christ!’ or says to you, "There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false Christ and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 Lo, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, "Lo, he is in the wilderness," do not go out; if they say, "Lo, he is in the inner rooms," do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man. 28.. 29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; 30 then will appear the sign of the Son of man in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with great power and great glory; 31 and he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heaven to the other. Why did Jesus Christ choose a period of three and a half years for his service on earth? Why didn’t he choose a period of six or ten years, then he would have convinced and won more people through preaching and making more miracles? So what prevented him from doing so?? The duration of Jesus message on earth was long enough just to saw the
salvation seed only, and the death of the grain that was to fall on earth
was to bring about a lot of fruits. So Jesus chose the shortest
possible period in which he could convey his message to bring about
the required results. Had the period been shorter then the sprouting and the
growth of the grain seed would have been incomplete. Had it been longer than
necessary then it would have brought disastrous results on
those who believe in Christ at the time of the end, as the Anti-Christ
would also take a period precisely equal to that that Jesus took, which
would have meant the lengthening of the tribulation period which Anti-Christ
would bring about and hence a lot of the believers in the real Christ would
be lost to the Anti-Christ and perish. So the choice of a period of three and
half years limited Anti-Christ’s tribulation period to three and half years
also, as seen in: The Revelation (13 - 11): 12 He exercises all the power of the beast, which came before him, and makes the inhabitants of the earth worship the beast whose mortal wound was healed. 13 he works great wonders, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives the inhabitants of the earth by means of the miracles which he has the power to do in the sight of the beast, telling them to make an image of the beast which had the mortal wound of the sword and yet lived. 15 And he had power to give life to the image of the beast, to make it speak and to give the order to slain any one who does not worship the image of the beast. 16 And he makes all whether small or great, rich or poor, free or slaves to put a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads. 17 So that no one can buy or sell except he who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 This calls for wisdom, let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred and sixty six. And also in: Daniel (7 – 25): 26 But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end. 27 And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. As Daniel says, Anti-Christ will do whatever he wants and for three and
half years, This will require the patience and the strong faith of the saints. "He shall speak words against the Most High and shall wear out
the saints of the Most High," and shall think to change the times and
the Law, Anti-Christ mission will last for three and a half years, which
is equal to the period which Christ took to complete his mission.
And only the glorious return Jesus Christ puts an end to Anti-Christ
and his followers.
